On Saturday 25th June the Southern Qualifiers for the Open team concluded. The Southern region received ten (10) spots in the last 24 players to contest for a place in this year's State Open Team. Anthony Adams has already gained a spot in this years State Team as State Champion by winning the State Open Singles earlier this year. This year we had fifteen (15) players enter and at the end of three days of competition the final ten (10) were in order
Marcus Jackson, Sam Thurgood, Justin Van Diepen, Chris Forsyth, Luke Webb, Dallas Nichols, Johnny Lennard, Andrew Triffitt , Leigh Bennett and Marcus Watt.
The State body increased the number of players from the South eligible to qualify from nine to ten players which means Marcus Watt has been included.
